Frequently asked questions.

Bars and pubs
How does an order get from the table to the bar?

Your staff member enters it on the handheld. The ticket comes straight out of the bar's printer or appears on the bar screen.

Can I print bar and kitchen orders separately?

Yes. The bar is its own section. Drinks go to the bar, dishes to the kitchen. You decide which products come out of which printer.

Can guests order a round themselves?

Yes, via the QR code on the table. They order on their own phone, without an app, and the order goes to the bar.

Can a group pay separately?

Yes, via the QR code. Guests order together on one bill and then pay together or separately with their own phone.

Do I need a card terminal at the bar?

Not necessarily. With the Tap-to-Pay app on your phone, the guest pays contactless and receives a digital receipt. If you want a paper receipt, a payment terminal with built-in receipt printer is useful.

Which phone do I need for the Tap-to-Pay app?

A phone with NFC that supports the app, running iOS or Android. The guest holds a card, phone or smartwatch against your phone.

What if the internet goes down on a busy night?

The POS, handheld and payments keep working in offline mode. As soon as the connection is back, everything syncs. If something does stop working, call the emergency line, daily until 22:00.

What does iButler cost for a bar or pub?

A fixed amount per month. On the pricing page, choose Café or bar to see an indication.

About bars and pubs

Which POS system suits a bar or pub?

Taking rounds at the table

In a bar or pub, guests often order several rounds. With the iButler handheld, your staff member takes the round at the table. The order goes straight to the bar, without anyone walking to the POS first. The handheld can do everything the POS can and works on any device with a browser.

The bar as its own section

Drinks go to the bar's printer or screen, dishes to the kitchen. You decide which products come out of which printer. Guests can also order themselves via the QR code on the table, on their own phone and without an app.

Payment at the bar and at the table

With the Tap-to-Pay app on your phone, a guest pays contactless, without a separate card terminal. Wappstars also supplies payment terminals with a built-in receipt printer, wifi and 4G. Guests who order via QR pay together or separately with iDEAL, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Bancontact or credit card.

Offline, getting started and price

If the internet goes down, the POS, handheld and payments keep working and everything syncs afterwards. Installation takes place within 1 to 5 working days, including training. You pay a fixed amount per month.
